OUR WHY

Kinship & Home exists because families are overwhelmed—and support has become fragmented, confusing, and hard to access.

Most people are navigating pregnancy, newborn care, childcare, work, household management, and major life transitions without a clear point of coordination. Support is often split between agencies, practitioners, and services that don’t communicate with one another, leaving families to manage logistics on their own.

Kinship & Home was created to change that.

We provide integrated, practical support for everyday life, bringing care, coordination, and structure into the home—so families are not left carrying everything alone.

What We Offer

Kinship and Home acts as a point of continuity- helping families move from one phase to the next with clarity, structure, and trusted support.

  • Continuous support through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. This care focuses on emotional holding, physical recovery, infant feeding support, and helping families settle into life after birth.

  • Thoughtful meal preparation designed to support rest and daily rhythms during times of transition. Services include menu planning, in-home cooking or delivery, and nourishment tailored to postpartum, children, dietary and family needs.

  • Practical support that helps homes function more smoothly during periods of change. This includes house management, organization, and systems that support care, routines, and day-to-day logistics.

What support is needed now?

HOW DOES CARE EVOLVE AS LIFE CHANGES?

WHAT SYSTEMS WILL REDUCE STRESS LONG-TERM?

  • "I hired overnight postpartum support through Kinship and Home. I worked with Monisha, and she is very warm-hearted woman and exceptional Doula. Her calming energy is contagious. From the first time she cared for our baby overnight, I felt at ease, and I learned quite a bit about how to tend to my newborn’s needs and cues, let alone ways to console him. We are so grateful to have her support and trust you will find the same!”

  • "I highly recommend Monisha from Kinship and Home to parents and could not shout her name louder from the rooftops! Having to invite someone new into your home during the transitional fourth trimester (and admist the pandemic) can be a nerve wracking process for parents, but Monisha completely put our minds at ease as soon as she stepped through the doors. Monisha has a very gentle and compassionate spirit, so I never have to worry knowing my child is in loving hands. What our family also especially appreciates is her flexibility and respect of various parenting methods, as Monisha always ensures parents are comfortable and on the same page with caregiving practices. She has been so helpful in creating a more calm environment and alleviating stress for our family. She’s an absolute gem for postpartum families!"

    Wang Family

  • "We were so appreciative for connecting with Monisha as we brought our little one into the world, from labour and delivery, and navigating the postpartum world, she was a constant source of knowledge with a kind and calming presence. Always accessible by text, call if we had any questions, and always on time and ready to jump in and help however she was needed. The wisdom and her presence that she provided us with was invaluable. We’d definitely recommend Monisha and would certainly have her as an integral part of our birth-postpartum team again!"

  • “Kinship & Home helped stabilize our household during a high-stress period while my partner was undergoing surgery. Support included resetting common areas, organizing baby supplies, meal preparation, managing laundry, coordinating household routines, and anticipating daily needs. Our home felt functional again, which allowed us to focus on our children instead of constantly putting out fires.”

  • “As a first-time mom, having overnight postpartum support through Kinship & Home made an enormous difference. Care included attentive overnight newborn support, guidance around feeds and settling, and on-call availability as we adjusted to life with a newborn. Kinship & Home also supported us during travel to San Diego, helping with packing, unpacking, maintaining routines, and providing hands-on care during transitions. Knowing support was available both overnight and while traveling allowed us to rest, feel confident, and move through the postpartum period with far less stress.”

  • “As a busy family of five, Kinship & Home provided ongoing nourishment support that made a noticeable difference in our week-to-week life. Support included planning and preparing family dinners, frozen meals, baked goods, and snack boxes for the kids, all prepped twice a week. Meals and snacks were organized for easy access, which helped mornings and school days run more smoothly.
